I collaborated with Bex Mui to implement the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center's 2023 LGBTQ+ Spirituality Symposium which turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Bex brought their expertise, passion, and incredible personality to this unique and fulfilling event. From the very beginning of months long of planning, Bex was enthusiastic, highly attentive to details, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. Folks new and old had every nice thing to say. We had our queer spirituality support group facilitators attend this event, and they were inspired to bring what they learned back to the direct service of our queer community which is a gift that keeps on giving. It takes someone who has tact, patience, and care for people to speak on topics as important and complicated as the intersection of queerness and spirituality. Bex Mui is truly a unique and wonderful person who was able to do this in a seemingly effortless way.
